SAIL 2023

Travel Policies and Support

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, SAIL will be offering travel support and/or free registration to help offset the cost of travel. Trainees are eligible for a $200 discount off the registration fee. Please email info@sail.health for the promo code.

We strongly encourage you to apply to any other sources of funding you may have available to you. Travel support will be issued AFTER the symposium in the form of a reimbursement. In order for expenses to be eligible, they must comply with the travel policies listed below, and you will need to provide original, itemized receipts.

Please also note the following:

  1. Because Puerto Rico is a territory of the USA, requirements are the same as entering the mainland. US citizens and permanent residents do not need a passport to enter. You can use an eligible government ID such as a driver’s license.
  2. If you are NOT a US citizen, permanent resident or visa-holder, please be sure to check US visa and entry requirements immediately so you are aware of processing times.
  3. If you are NOT a US citizen, permanent resident or visa-holder, you will need to provide proof of vaccination.
  4. You will NOT need to present a negative COVID-19 test upon entry. If you will need a negative test to return to your home country, please let conference organizers know in advance.

To plan other aspects of your trip to Puerto Rico, or if you are planning to extend your stay to visit the island, Discover Puerto Rico is a helpful website. There will be opportunities after the program concludes for golf (2 PGA courses onsite), full-service spa onsite, sailing, bioluminescent bay tour, horseback riding, and other activities. Childcare services can be arranged upon request.
