The Symposium on Artificial Intelligence in Learning Health Systems (SAIL) returned for its third in-person conference May 7-10, 2024, in Río Grande, Puerto Rico!
We convened once again at the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve in Puerto Rico to continue our discussion on safe and effective deployment of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare. The conference provided a number of lively panels, invited speakers, poster sessions, roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities.
Areas of focus included:
- Bias and Fairness
- Designing Human-Centered AI
- LLMs in action for clinical and back-office operations
- Parents and patients already availing themselves of AI tools
- Professional organizations and regulatory authorities meanwhile only beginning to tackle safety, efficacy, and liability.
Each year, SAIL brings together clinicians, researchers and members of the tech industry from around the world to join in candid and productive conversations meant to shape the future of AI in health and improve clinical outcomes.
We will continue the discussion May 6–9, 2025 at the same venue!
Program
We assembled an exciting lineup of talks and panels and welcomed robust attendee participation, both in person and during our live-streamed keynotes.
