Nicholas Jacobson
Dr. Nick Jacobson is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Data Science, Psychiatry, and Computer Science at Dartmouth, where he directs the AI and Mental Health: Innovation in Technology Guided Healthcare (AIM HIGH) Laboratory. His research focuses on using deep learning and passive sensor data from smartphones and wearables to provide scalable, personalized treatments for anxiety and depression. Dr. Jacobson developed the first fully generative AI used for psychotherapy and published the results of its first clinical trial in New England Journal of Medicine – AI (NEJM AI). His work aims to create just-in-time adaptive interventions that enhance both the precision and accessibility of mental healthcare globally.
