Dr. Horwitz is director of the Center for Healthcare Innovation and Delivery Science at NYU Langone Health, director of the Division of Healthcare Delivery Science in the Department of Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, tenured professor of population health and medicine, and a practicing internist. Her work focuses on improving the safety and quality of healthcare delivery. She has conducted over a dozen rapid trials within NYU designed to improve patient outcomes in support of a learning health system. She is also co-PI of the Clinical Science Core for the NIH’s RECOVER program to study Long COVID, for which she is responsible for the 14,000+ participant adult cohort study. Dr. Horwitz received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Harvard. She then completed residency and chief residency in internal medicine at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York, NY and fellowship training at Yale before moving to NYU in 2014.
