Stephen Ball
Stephen L. Ball is a leader with extensive experience at the intersection of public policy, law, and institutional strategy across highly regulated sectors. His career has spanned financial services, technology, legal practice, and higher education, where he has led strategies balancing concerns about governance, risk, compliance, and public trust. Stephen has held senior roles at organizations including Wells Fargo, Airbnb, and CSAA Insurance Group, and served as Dean of Students at Harvard Law School. Across these settings, he has worked closely with policymakers and other diverse stakeholders to navigate complex challenges created by emerging technology. At this conference, Stephen brings a policy- and governance-focused perspective to the future of artificial intelligence in healthcare, with particular interest in ethical deployment, bias mitigation, and the institutional frameworks necessary for responsible innovation. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a Master of Public Policy and B.A. from the University of Michigan.
